As some of you may know, my wife is the lovely Christina of Sweet Lavender Bake Shoppe. She is a whirlwind of creative cookery and tasty yum yums. Yeah, I said yum yums…what?
At any rate, we had been talking about a rework of her logo and branding for a while. The company is pretty young and at first, she was just needing a logo that “got the job done.” Disclaimer: “got the job done” is not the best way to go about designing a logo and admittedly I was at fault for some of the rushing that went into making her first logo. However, as the company has grown, so has her vision for it. We really seem to be moving at a nice pace and she has definitely found her niche within the rocky landscape of sweet treat makers.
With that said, Christina was really hoping to evoke a feeling of homestyle, 1950’s-60’s era design for her new logo. We worked out what she was looking for through back and forth sketching/approvals and we are both happy with the outcome of the new design of her logo and branding of her mini empire.
